Will & Johannah’s wedding felt so much like home! Raised Southern Baptist, I remember as a little girl helping the women in the church preparing for traditional wedding ceremonies and receptions (all the way down to the fruit platters and punch). Walking into Cornerstone Baptist Church, brought back all the smiles and pretty sure I just wanted to do a little happy dance all day long! This traditional Baptist Church Wedding was the perfect ending to our winter wedding season!
Knowing this amazing pair for 5 years now, we have been beyond anxious to see these two tie the knot! And we’re not the only ones! Getting to witness their family, friends and their Royalview Baptist church family, all ready to serve them on their big day was extra special! I think anyone who knows these two would agree with us when we say, “they are a match made in heaven!”
Starting their day off enjoying time with the wedding party in Sunday school classrooms, we snuck our beautiful bride out for a quick First Look with her Father and then headed to The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, for the bride & groom’s First Look and portraits. With soft rolling clouds playing hide and seek with the sun, we were able to capture images that we feel are a true representations of the gentle beauty in their relationship.
Their ceremony was just as special as their First Look. Literally “tying the knot” with their chord of 3 strands, representing God within their marriage. Sharing their own written vows and exchanging custom rings. Johannah receiving a beautiful custom designed ring with her birthstone on the inside of her band. And William receiving his with a special inscription from Jo.
Their wedding day left us feeling inspired, refreshed and blessed to have witnessed such a beautiful day.
Will and Jo…You did it!!! You are officially husband and wife and we could not be happier for you! I have admired your journey in your relationship since you started dating. I know you shared that we have been a blessing to you, in capturing your wedding day…but capturing the purity and christ centered love that you two share, was the biggest blessing for us. And we cannot say thank you enough for choosing us to be your wedding photographers.
You two put a lot of effort into letting God lead your relationship, and we will continue to pray for you as he leads you in your marriage. When I think on my favorite scriptures, I think of you guys! William, when you read Proverbs 31:10 “Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.” You can confidently raise your hand high! Because you have found a beautiful wife that is worth far more than rubies!
We are so excited to see where the adventures of marriage take you! Praying for the best!
